What is a cabin bed? In what forms can it exist?

No more cots with bars, consisting only of a mattress and a bed base for the child. Hello cabin bed! But what does it consist of? The cabin bed can take any form. It can be found in the form of a house, a teepee and many other forms, each more original than the last. The children's bed can be more or less personalised, some with stairs, others with a ladder passing through the slide, the windows and everything else that will allow the child to feel fully at ease. The children's hut can be made up in different ways to suit everyone.

You can also find :

- The cabin bed drawer

With the drawer cabin bed, you opt for a Swiss Army knife bed that allows you to put your child to sleep, to store his things but also to save space in his room. Your child will be able to get ready on his own while having everything close to him thanks to the drawers integrated into his bed. A good fun and practical way to behave like a grown-up. The drawer hut bed will also allow him to receive a friend to sleep.

- The hut bed with barrier

The barrier cot allows you to better understand the transition between the baby bed and the child bed. The hut bed with barrier will allow you to leave your child in complete safety while immersing him/herself in his/her little cocoon.

Cribs are generally the size of a standard mattress, either 90 x 190 cm or 90 x 200 cm. This means that you can keep your child's mattress even when they are a teenager.

Don't neglect the mattress part, which should allow your child to have optimal comfort during sleep. Choose a mattress that is firm enough to fit your child's body for good body support and development. You can choose a softer mattress when your child is a teenager. For the cabin bed, play with colours and materials to personalise the space with coloured sheets for example.

What are the advantageous features of the children's cot?

The cabin cot is the perfect way to make the transition from baby bed to child bed. It goes from the bars to the hut. The perfect way to move towards more autonomy for your child without altering its safety.

One of the many advantages of the cabin bed for a child's bedroom is the presence of a roof. This element is reassuring for your child and allows him to create his own little cocoon. The tower of the hut is also a reassuring factor, but here for the parents. There is no risk of the child falling out and you can sleep soundly.

The mezzanine bed is also a good way to get your child to go to sleep. Often a dreaded moment for parents and children alike, the moment of going to sleep will be more than a moment of comfort and well-being.

Hut beds are also ideal for stimulating your children's creativity. With their atypical shapes, your children can use their imagination with this type of furniture.

There are different heights to suit all ages and the different needs of parents and children: mezzanine, half-height or bunk beds.

The cabin bed is durable. The natural wood of a bed always appeals to parents. The wooden cot is made from solid wood which guarantees quality and durability. Made from eco-designed materials, the wooden bed is free of all chemicals and harmful to the health of your child. The solid wood hut promises a good quality of the wooden hut bed and brings a very nice look to your child's room. For example, the Mathy By Bols white hut bed offers all the cachet of white wood within its attractive and comforting visual for the child. Whether you choose a coloured wooden hut or a white hut, it will be your choice according to the decoration you wish for your child's bedroom.

From what age to what age should you choose a cabin bed for your toddler?

From the age of 2, you can choose a cabin bed for your child. However, for this age, choose a child's hut bed with measurements of 60 x 120 cm or 70 x 140. This type of size is suitable for children from 2 to 5 years of age to ensure maximum safety and sleeping comfort.

From the age of 6, you can opt for the 90 x 190 cm mattress. When your child is older and more independent, you can choose a larger and higher structure in complete safety. Your child will be able to imagine dreams and wonders in his cocoon. He can keep his cot until he wants to, with the ability to keep the same mattress for later.

The hut bed is a real refuge for your child. Available in different shapes, positions and safety standards, it is suitable for all ages from 2 to 12 years. Be sure to adjust the mattress and the size of the hut to suit your child's growth and development.

The hut bed will change your life and your child's too. It will become a real pleasure for your child to go to sleep. The hut will be his little cocoon where he can recharge his batteries and let his imagination and creativity run wild.

The hut bed is a good way to become more independent and to help your child grow in a playful way.
